Job Summary
You will be responsible for all activities related to Accounts Payable and Payroll. You will also be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment, for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner and for processing salaries and tax payments.
Job Objectives
- Process accounts payable and payroll entries accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- Handle monthly financial tasks, including tax preparation, bank activities, and record-keeping efficiently.
- Verify and issue paychecks promptly, coordinating with HR to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Job Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Management
- Verify and process Accounts Payable (payment orders and purchase order) and its related payment and bookkeeping activities.
- Verify and process payroll entries for all entities.
- Prepare and file monthly withholding taxes.
- Perform bank and its related activities including BRS and bookkeeping.
- Perform monthly activities and schedules (accrued, prepaid expenses, fixed assets schedule, provision and expenses and cost allocation).
- Perform GL and Intercompany related tasks and closing activities.
- Perform bank guarantee processing.
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status.
Payroll Processing
- Verify salaries, overtime earnings, other earnings, reimbursements, and vacation deductions shared by HR payroll team.
- Issue paychecks in a timely manner.
- Generate WPS payments in bank
- Generate payroll payments in bank for reporting manager’s review.
- Collaborate with the HR payroll team for timely rollout of payroll info needed for payout.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Previous Work Experience
- Finance professional with 3 – 5 years’ experience range.
- Software Services background is preferable.
- Experience in handling payroll and vendor payments independently.
- Knowledge on Qatar WPS is essential
- Strong knowledge of local taxation and accounting practices.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in accounting systems like Sage, Quickbooks, Odoo or any ERP accounting system.
- Ability to perform accounting activities.
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers.
- Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to work in a multi-cultural environment
