Note: This is a temporary position as a Maternity Cover for one of the employees.
Job Summary
You will be responsible for assisting the accountant and Senior accountant in all activities related to Accounts Payable and Payroll. As a key member of the accounts team, you will be responsible to ensure all payments and payroll data is complete, accurate, and verified before each payroll run and in all accounting reconciliations.Job Objectives
- Accurate and timely recording and bookkeeping of financial transactions
- Accurate and timely processing of payments
- Issue employee payments, considering deductions and withholdings.
- Prepare payroll schedules and records and contribute to various accounting tasks
Job Responsibilities
Accounting Activities
- Perform bank and related activities including BRS and bookkeeping
- Perform Month end activities and reconciliation of payments
- Assist Accountants on ad-hoc tasks
- Managing vendors both externally and internally
- Ensuring all local and foreign currency payments are sent accurately and on time
- Ensure financial management system is updated for all payments made
- Processing manual payments
- Generate and reconcile weekly vendor payment runs and perform specific quality checks
Payroll Activities
- Verify and Process payroll for contractors of Recruitment entity
- Collating work records and timesheets
- Validating overtime
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and issues
- Answering payroll-related queries
- Collaborate with the HR payroll team
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Graduation in Finance/Accounts or related fields is mandatory.
- Candidate should be able to demonstrate commitment to continued learning in the field of accounts.
Previous Work Experience
- Finance professional with 2-3 years’ experience range.
- Very good communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of all relevant overtime, leave, and benefits regulations
Skills and Abilities
- High level of accounting skills.
- Excellent communication and Analytical skills.
- Ability to perform accounting activities.
- Should be comfortable working remotely
- Should be proficient in accounting systems like Sage, Quickbooks, Odoo
